Matt Nolan

Matt Nolan, Glaciologist

Dr. Nolan is an associate professor at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where he studies glacier/climate interactions in the Arctic. Primarily a field scientist, he has projects throughout Alaska, as well as in Siberia and Antarctica. His primary glaciologic research tools are differential GPS to measure ice motion, automatic weather stations to measure climate, and skis to get around.
