An installation comprised of 99 small scale digital prints spinning on their vertical axis by means of dc motors. They are mounted to a 10' x 10' wall in a room of almost the same size that has been painted black. The images spin at varying rates, sometimes slowly enough that the image is clear and sometimes so quickly that you can barely distinguish the image, invoking our brains interpolation software, the persistence of vision.

According to René Descartes, space is filled with a material consisting of tiny particles that set each other in centrifugal motion and thus form the heavenly bodies. This material he called plenum.We must assume that the entire matter of the heavens...rotates constantly like a whirl, with the sun at its centre... Spin, in nuclear physics, is a quantity that expresses the angular momentum of a body such as an atomic nucleus or an elementary particle in rapid rotation around its axis. Within the atom, electrons rotate about the nucleus at speeds of 1 to 10 percent of the speed of light. The electron, as well as many other particles, also spins on its own axis like a top.
